VA: Dreams From Within K7 (1989, Dreams From Within)

Very rare cassette compilation put out by the UK zine Dreams From Within that covered a lot of obscure dark bands throughout the late 80's. This tape features mainly goth bands from the UK with a couple exceptions such as Garden of Pleasures, Casual Sanity, Pro Memoria (and possibly a few others I've never seen or heard about elsewhere) active during this time. One warning I will give, if you are listening to this one on headphones, you might want to turn down the volume once the ENDG track is about to come on (or skip) since they produced this one to be 10x louder than every other song on the tape.

Coldreams - A Crazy Night K7 (1985, Rock Hardi)

With my mediafire links down, don't expect those files back anytime soon since I don't have the time or desire to re-compile and upload them all. I might do some here and now...

Here is a very rare cassette by a French cold favorite that predates their highly regarded 7", and the only other release by them that I know of.  I don't believe anyone will find these tracks as fantastic as the 7" (that would be tough to top), but still good quality French cold wave music.

...

In case you haven't noticed (which you probably haven't unless you've been trying to grab a bunch of links), mediafire decided to delete all of my files over a week ago without any notice/warning. Of the three or four files I have received complaints about in the past from mediafire, the notices they have bothered sending me (some they did not mail me) that contained the title of the work I was allegedly sharing were never once correct (I believe they all were actually books). The titles of the compressed files simply had similar keywords that their search bots located when crawling the web. Not to argue what I do here is totally ethical, it's not since it would be nearly impossible to track down members of each of these 20-30+ year old bands to ask their permission first (some I have asked). However, I have only received positive responses from past band members and/or people involved who I have communicated with or those who have left comments. For now, I'm just gonna take a break... don't know what the future of this blog will become (if anything). Maybe I'll go buy a microscope and post enlarged close-up images of my pubic hairs from time-to-time. Who knows... I'll be ignoring "will you please re-up" comments. If anyone else wants to re-up anything, feel free and leave a comment... but certainly no pressure.

Garden of Delight - 22 Faces 7" (1984, Moonlight Productions)

Not a long lost release by the popular German gothic rock band sharing the same name (thank GOD?)... but a little-known 80's goth/new wave band from Norway. They also issued another 7" in 1984 and an LP in 1987. If you search youtube, you can find some more tracks including some early demos. The title track is a poppy, psychedelic goth/wave tune and they get a bit more solemn/dramatic on the b-side. I can't think of any other purely obvious gothic early/mid 80s bands out of Norway other than maybe White Lord Jesus (and I've yet to hear their 80's releases besides the song off the brilliant "Maskidans" compilation that is quite minimal/synthy).
